The year-long celebration was launched at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, New Kingston.
In his special remarks, Dr. Conille congratulated JASL on their 30 years of transformative service to the people of Jamaica. The Resident Coordinator encouraged the organization to build on this innovative work and rich experience while being guided by the People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and the communities they serve. JASL remains the oldest and largest human rights non-profit organization in Jamaica. They have done work in HIV education, prevention, treatment, and support, enabling environment and human rights strategic research. They are funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
