About the event
UN Day 2019 - #iAMtheSDGS
The United Nations in Jamaica will join the global celebration of United Nations Day on 24 October to commemorate 71 years since the entry into force of the UN Charter. On this occasion we will work with partners to amplify the values, goals and opportunities of the United Nations, including improving knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Using the SDG Media Zone approach, The event will bring together creative content creators, influencers, activists and media partners to highlight actions and solutions in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. Through impactful in-depth interviews with popular influences and thought leaders, as well as, edutainment presentations, panel discussions and Ted-style talks, the SDG Media Zone approach takes the conversation on advancing the 2030 Agenda out of the policy sphere and into the public discourse.
