Resident Coordinator pays courtesy call on Bermuda Premier
Resident Coordinator Dr. Garry Conille had the pleasure of meeting with The Honourable E. David Burt, Premier of Bermuda.
The Resident Coordinator, officially appointed to Bermuda, was warmly received by the Premier. The Resident Coordinator and the Premier discussed issues of Bermuda's national priority and the greater role the United Nations could play in supporting the Islands.
In the virtual courtesy call, Dr. Conille commended Bermuda’s vaccination programme and the Premier for his active role in addressing vaccination hesitancy.
The Resident Coordinator expressed his commitment to a spirit of cooperation and consultation to ensure that the United Nations remains appropriately responsive to the priorities of the Bermuda Government and its people. The Premier also expressed an openness to welcoming the Resident Coordinator as soon as COVID-19 restrictions allow.
